In April, the whole society's electricity consumption was 741.2 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 7.0%. From January to April, the total electricity consumption of the whole society totaled 3.0772 billion kWh, a year-on-year increase of 9.0%, of which industrial power generation above designated size was 2.9329 billion kWh.
Guosheng Securities pointed out that overall, the growth rate of electricity consumption slowed down month-on-month in April, but the overall growth rate still maintained a relatively high growth rate. Among them, the growth rate of industrial electricity consumption remained rapid, or the industry continued to recover. Thermal power is in a policy dividend period as a flexible support power source. The current coal price is declining, and the profit flexibility of thermal power has increased.
